Covid Precautions & Policies

Dear Patient:

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice, and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff.

A member of Dr. Tim’s Dental  Center’s team will meet you in the entryway to take your temperature with a forehead thermometer, give you a squirt of hand sanitizer, and provide you with the appropriate protective equipment as needed. You will then be escorted to your exam room.

    • We ask that you wear a face mask when you enter our building and until you are in your exam room.
Likewise, we ask that you put the mask back on as you leave the exam room to exit the building. Please bring your own mask. If you don’t have one, we will provide one for your safety.
    • You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth,
since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
    • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean
that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
    • We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well
as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
    • In the examination room you will be provided with a mini cup of Peroxyl (hydrogen-peroxide) rinse and asked to “swish” for 30-60 seconds. This cleans the mouth and helps to reduce the risk of contaminated particulates getting into the air during the dental procedure.
    • If it is determined that you have a fever when you arrive to our office, we will reschedule your appointment a minimum of 14 days later and also request that you self-isolate for that amount of time for the safety and health of others.
